FAQ's

 

We believe communication with our parents, coaches, and volunteers is always a high priority at GOU. We are constantly looking for new and better ways to give you all of the information you need and want from us.

 

 

What is Greater Osceola United Soccer Club?

GOU is the largest soccer club in Osceola County, providing developmental, competitive, and premier soccer for the youth of our community. This year we have 28 competitive teams ranging in level from entry level travel to state cup level and 17 developmental in-house teams.


When is the soccer season?

GOU provides two playing seasons. Our Fall and Spring seasons have 8-10 games each.  Fall season begins in August and Spring season begins in March.  U15 and up games begin in mid August and end in mid October while U14 and below games begin after Labor Day and end before Thanksgiving.  Developmental in-house games begin after Labor Day and end before Thanksgiving.


Who can play?

Children who are 4 years old up to age 19. Age divisions are based on August 1st of each year. Recreational/Developmental ages are from 4 to 10.  Competitive ages are from 8 to 19 and require a tryout or evaluation for placement on teams based on availability.  See registration page for U-age groups.


Where are the games played, when are practices?

Developmental in-house practices are one or two practices per week with a game played on Saturday at our home facility, Austin - Tindall Soccer Complex. Competitive practices are generally two practices per week with a game played on Saturday and/or occasional Sundays. Home games at Austin - Tindall and away games in the Central Florida area.  Alternative Practice fields include KUA in Kissimmee and Neptune Middle School in St. Cloud.  Practice locations and times are at the discretion of the coach.

Who is responsible for enforcing rules and regulations, and disciplinary actions?

 gouregistration@yahoo.com is the Vice - President of Rules and Regulations.  is also the contact person for dealings with FYSA.



We encourage comments, suggestions and volunteers!  Email a board member or attend a board meeting.

Greater Osceola United Soccer Club's Board meetings are the first Friday night of every month. If you plan to attend, check the website and/or contact a board member for any schedule changes. We welcome all parents and coaches at our meetings.
